Refund Policy

1. Try first, for free

The trial lasts 14 days, with every feature and no card. It never turns into a paid plan on its own, so there is nothing to refund or cancel.

2. 14-day refund on your first payment

If you are not happy, ask within 14 days after your first payment for a plan and you get a full refund. This applies to monthly and yearly plans, for individuals and businesses. No reason needed.

How: write to hello@brainplane.app from the email you bought with. We refund to your original payment method within 14 days of your request. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

3. Your legal right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland)

You have 14 days from the day you buy a plan to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason. Using the app during those days does not end this right. We do not ask you to give it up.

How to withdraw:

• send a clear statement by email to hello@brainplane.app; or
• use the model form below.

We confirm your withdrawal by email without undue delay, with its content and its date and time. You get a full refund, including tax, within 14 days, by the payment method you used.

Sections 2 and 3 overlap. Use whichever is simpler for you. You are never refunded twice.

4. Renewals

• Cancel before the renewal date and you are not charged again. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Yearly plans: we email you 15 to 30 days before each renewal, with the last day to cancel and how.
• If you are a consumer and your yearly plan has already renewed, you can still end it at any time, without any fee. It ends at the end of the current calendar month and we refund the time left after that date, calculated per day.
• Monthly plans: a renewal that has already been charged is not refunded, except under section 6.

5. After a refund

Your plan ends and its licence stops at the next check. brainplane switches to read-only mode: you can still read and export all your data. Nothing on your Mac is deleted.

6. Other cases

• We charged you by mistake, or charged you twice: full refund of the wrong charge, at any time.
• brainplane does not work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time: you can get a price reduction or end your plan with a refund for the period it did not work (Terms of Service section 11).
• We remove a feature in a way that reduces your plan more than a little, change the terms or raise the price: you can end your plan and get back the unused part (Terms of Service sections 6.4, 10.2 and 14).
• We stop selling brainplane: we refund the unused part of any yearly plan.

7. Chargebacks

You can contact us about a disputed charge at hello@brainplane.app, and we refund where this policy says so. You may also use any dispute rights your payment provider or bank gives you. While a disputed charge is reviewed, the licence may be suspended. A confirmed reversal ends the plan in the same way as a refund.
