# Expert mode

Every agent, the Inbox, the topic state and the receipts on 1 screen, keyboard first.

Canonical: https://brainplane.app/docs/expert-mode/

## Switch

Simple is the default: 1 card per topic, in plain words. Expert is 1 press away with Command Shift E, in the toolbar or in Settings, General. Both read the same brain and follow the same safety rules.

## The layout

| Pane | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Agents rail | Every session, grouped: needs you, working, waiting, done |
| Agent panes | The events each agent reported, with the line that blocks it now |
| Inbox | Every card in 2 lines, high risk first |
| Topic | The state of the selected card's topic in 4 blocks |
| Receipts | The live tail of what changed, with Undo while its window is open |

4 tabs: overview, log, handoffs and skills.

## Keys

| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| `:` or Command K | Command line |
| Ctrl+H, J, K, L | Move between panes |
| 1 to 9 | Pick option n of the focused card |
| Enter | Take the suggested answer |
| Esc | Undo while an answer holds |
| Z | Zoom the focused pane |
| G | Go to any agent, topic or card |
| `?` | Every key |

## The command line

| Command | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `delegate <agent> <goal>` | New handoff, with a preview of the pack and the checks |
| `answer <card> <option>` | Answer a card, with the usual hold |
| `undo` | Undo the latest receipt that can be undone |
| `pack <topic> --for <agent>` | The exact pack an agent would get |
| `open <topic>` | Focus the topic |

Any other sentence becomes a request and lands as 1 card. Nothing runs before you press Run.
